I got introduced to Ian by my builder after I had been let down by a readily available (never a good sign I have found out) architect. Ian listened to all my requirements and was always clear on timelines (that he always kept to) and came back with some great solutions. I did a major double storey front and single storey back extension to my property: Ian designed the extension, managed the planning application successfully, drew up the building control drawings, continued to advise me throughout the project given I had never done building work before (and never made me feel silly for the questions I asked), remained responsive and ultimately saw the project to its conclusion with building regulations approval.   If it is not clear from the above: I highly recommend Ian.
